Spiderweb Marketing System To Build Up GDI Down Line?
Does The Spiderweb Marketing System Really Work?
Are you using the Spiderweb Marketing System, to build up your GDI down line? I hate to admit it, but I fell into the Spiderweb Marketing System trap and regretted it. For those of you not familiar with this system, Here is a link to the creator of the Spiderweb Marketing Systems’ blog. I was emailed a link to the Spiderweb Marketing System from a friend of mine and decided to give it a try. The Spiderweb Marketing System is hailed as a great GDI down line builder and everybody involved with Global Domains International wants a quick and effective way to build up their down line.
The first thing I noticed about the Spiderweb Marketing System was how long it takes to set up.
Stage #4 is a 10:12 video that tells you what to expect while your setting up your Spiderweb marketing system.
Thankfully there was no video for stage #5. What you will find at stage #5 of the Spiderweb Marketing System is your basic sign-up form that you’d find at the majority of the programs you’ve joined in the past.
Stage #6 of the Spiderweb Marketing System is a 30:12 video that walks you through a “custom” capture page set-up, to be hosted on Global Domains International. Global Domains International, as we all know charges a monthly fee of $10.00, so I don’t want to hear talk about this being a totally free system. Now if everything works out as planned, every person that you get to visit your “custom” capture page must do exactly what you did in order for you to receive your Global Domains International commission. Good luck, because by this stage your potential sign-up has wasted a whopping 40 minutes plus.
Stage #7 of the Spiderweb Marketing System is a 52 plus minute video on setting up another affiliate program. This one is called Selfbank Mobile. Selfbank Mobile dubs it’s self as, “the world’s first banking and payment system that is truly personal and social and allows you to access all your funds centrally from your mobile phone. All you need to do is deposit money into it“.. Actually this would be a great program to promote as a mini site. The problem is that it is not even live yet! Don’t believe me? Check out this screen shot from Selfbank Mobile’s back office.
Who the hell in their right mind wants to promote a program that is not even up and running properly? Apparently, the Spiderweb Marketing System must have some secret knowledge that it is withholding form the public to think that this program is worth promoting. I’ll update later when they go live and let you know if it’s worth your time.
Stage #8 of the Spiderweb Marketing System takes over a hour to view. The affiliate program they are promoting for this stage is called, Business Tax Advantage. Business Tax Advantage is a company that specializes in, helping people with, or “without” a home based business take advantage of tax deductions/benefits.
One of the first things I noticed about the Business Tax Advantage is the fact this affiliate program is not free to join. To become an affiliate of the Business Tax Advantage you must first become a member…
The cost to “join/become a member” of Business Tax Advantage affiliate’s program is, (Drum roll please)… A recurring payment of $29.97 monthly. Are they serious?
For those of you who don’t know, the person responsible for the Spiderweb Mark
eting System is a man named Kimball Roundy.
This man Kimball Roundy is also the founder and CEO of Roundgoods. Is it a coincident that the company, Roundgoods is the same company that handles the billing for, Business Tax Advantage’s affiliate program? I think not. Find out more at my homegirl, Jennifer Fisher’s website called, Go to Jennifer Fisher.
Stage #9 of the Spiderweb Marketing System is a 30 minute video on setting up a account with DirectMatches. DirectMatches dubs it’s self as, “the first in the online business and social networking industry to deploy a multi-matchmaking system that helps people locate everything from business contacts to finding friendship and dates online. It is the first business and social networking service with a contact management system that operates on a “dynamic basis”, where members are able to select from dedicated networking communities” …
Okay, to be honest I like the “concept” of DirectMatches, but as an affiliate program it comes up short on a few levels. For starters…
- Only Managing and Executive Representatives are eligible for commissions
- You will not receive commissions if you maintain a Free Member status
- You will be flooded with emails from people promoting all kinds of products
I actually checked out a few member profiles on DirectMatches and it seems like the majority of them are all pushing the same 25-30 products. Is this the place for you to promote the Spiderweb Marketing System? I think not! Remember, everyone in the Spiderweb Marketing System has their profile on DirectMatches. Why?… Because this is necessary to complete stage #9. My advice, if you do decide to join do not give them your main email address. You’ve been warned!
Stage #10 of the Spiderweb Marketing System consist of a 25 minute video on setting up a Commission Junction account. Once you are approved for Commission Junction you are then told to apply to the Yahoo, Miva and Search 123 referral programs. How this is relevant to making money using the Spiderweb Marketing System is a puzzle to me. I actually use Commission Junction on several of my websites, this one included, but their are several higher paying affiliate programs to be found on Commission Junction. Another question to ask is where are these ads suppose to show up at? They are not shown on the Spiderweb marketing system’s website, so what is the relevance of applying to these programs? Hmm, go figure.
Stage #11 of the Spiderweb Marketing System is a 12 minute video on setting up a Zenzuu account. Zenzuu is similiar to MySpace, but with a twist… Zenzuu claims to share it’s revenu with with it’s users. Again, everyone with a Spiderweb Marketing System is involved with this program. I like the idea of a social network sharing the profits with it’s users, but the same amount of time to takes to promote Zenzuu you could be promoting a product with a much larger commission pay out. My suggestion… Create a profile and have a link pointing back Acme People Search, Global Domains International or any other product for that matter that you promote.
Step #12 of the Spiderweb Marketing System is a 12 minute video on setting up a Yuwie account. You is no different than Zenzuu. They claim to pay you a percentage of their revenue for every member you get to sign up to their site. Again, the time it takes to to recruit new members could be better spent promoting higher paying affiliate programs.
All in all, the Spiderweb Marketing System as a GDI down line builder is mediocre at best. I found it to be too time consuming and we all know, time is money.
Your Boy,
